Nesting Bald Eagles
March 2011
It rain all but one day in March. So between that and being out of town a few times, I only made it out a few times to check on them. Only had one decent day for pictures. The whole month was the pair taking turns sitting on the eggs. The one sunny day in March, I got some pictures.

It's so neat how they share nesting duties. Here we have the female waiting for the male to show up. When he did, they joined breifly for a chat, then he flew to the nest for his turn egg sitting. She flew off looking for dinner.

I went back out next sunny day we had around here. (38 days of rain out of last 39 days!). Still sitting on eggs. The female was waiting for the male to come back from hunting. He finally did and they swapped places and off she went hunting.

Well, some bad news... After sitting on eggs for about three weeks, they abandoned the nest.
Apparently, they never hatched? Anyways, I'll start again next Feb 2012.
